#ISTE11 Here I come!
As I am preparing for Philadelphia, I can't help but be excited to meet new people, learn more about what tech is best suited to my music students, and add a check to the bucket list. Yes, one thing on my bucket list was to be in a flashmob and I will be joining a flashmob at ISTE and hopefully will have some video for future reference!YEAH!!!! So pumped and ready to rock it!

NCDA Board Meeting
Today I started yet another new adventure in my life; attending a board meeting of the Nebraska Choral Directors Association. I will become the R&S Chair for Children's Choirs in Nebraska this summer. Suzanne Philippi has done a marvelous job and I am so grateful for her leadership and organizational skills with Sing Around Nebraska over the last 4 years. While I am excited for this new adventure, I am also relieved that she will be around to help me out with questions and concerns as I start this transition. Thanks Suzanne for giving of your time, talents and passion for kids in choral music!

Tech Days
I have enjoyed this week at the KPS tech days. I have taught and taken and most of all, learned something new each day! I have loved meeting new teachers in my district and getting to know them and their learning styles. Fun week!

Beginning of Summer
The beginning of summer has brought about a few lessons in patience. My first lesson was as I went into the ER and discovered I would have to have emergency gallbladder surgery. Yikes! After my quick trip to the ER and hospital (less than 11 hours) I am now learning to let others help me. Not extremely fun, but nice in some aspects. :) Today, is a day that the girls will have to help me around the house. It has become a pit and needs attention. I hope they are up for it.
On a lighter note, I did get to watch a movie I have been wanting to see for a while called "I am Four". Very good flick! I need to dive into preparing for my tech classes now, so notes. can be handed in next week. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

The NETA Challenge
I was recently challenged to create a blog from the Nebraska Tech Conference, so I am rising to that challenge and hope that I can keep up with all of the posting videos and blogs. Today is a teacher workday, but I am officially out of school for the summer. I am looking forward to teaching a few tech classes as well as taking a few classes. It promises to be a busy summer no matter what! :)
